This song was originally dedicated to my parents, who relocated from DC to West Africa during the pandemic in 2020. After my mother passed away in 2021, this song presented a whole new meaning. This song not only recounts the unconditional love and nurture from parent to child, it also highlights the fear, loneliness and panic that are undeniable in the grief process.
