The gist is in the title! Directly inspired by Netflix’s documentary on Quincy Jones, this song celebrates all things culturally Black. Ranging from Black love and excellence to Black resilience, “Black and Proud” is simply a song about praising ourselves and our communities, in the face of perpetual backlash.
